Reinforcing Your Skills
Did you ever play with Mad Libs as a kid? Remember - you make up random verbs, nouns, adjectives, adverbs and then insert them into a story. The skills you learned in the last assignment would be PERFECT for building your own Mad Lib machine on the computer!
Your assignment:
- Start with a well-designed title-page
- Try to write your own, original Mad Lib. You may copy an example if you MUST (perhaps English is not your best subject).
- Include graphics and animations
- Do your very best. Be prepared for this to be a "showcase" assignment. My freshmen students will spend a day enjoying YOUR Mad Lib - they better have fun OR ELSE!
Resources:
Mad Libs on The Web - 3 examples of how Mad Libs work. These were done with regular HTML and scripts, but YOURS will be so much cooler with Flash.
Crazy Libs - A large collection of Mad Libs. Again, this doesn't use Flash: Yours is going to be even COOLER.
Student Work - Former student Matthew Swarts did this using Flash. You only need to complete ONE Mad Lib (Matthew has two) Check it out - this project reflects the minimum amount of effort needed to complete this assignment.
