If you look around at some professional web sites, you should notice that links aren't always underlined. If every link on every page were underlined, it would be difficult for your eye to read the content.

Have a look at the MSNBC web site. Notice how the basic text links change from plain black, to underlined red when you roll the mouse over them. It's very easy to create that effect using DreamWeaver.
