Save Web Versions

It's important that you save as a PSD which you can edit later, but we also need to save at least one version that can be embedded in a web page.

Click File > Save for Web & Devices

Let's start by creating a .gif file.... use the GIF 128 No Dither preset and be sure to select Transparency:

Save as Drop_Shadow

Now let's save a PNG version as well. PNG happens to be my favorite file format for images. Unfortunately, PNG files don't always render on all browsers in all applicaitons. Most modern browsers handle PNG files perfectly, so let's do it!

Select the PNG-24 Preset and make certain Transparency is selected:
